Water Rates

As a public agency, Coachella Water Authority and Sanitary District is prohibited by law from gaining a profit from water rates. The Authority legally can charge customers only as much as the cost of providing water services. The Authority’s rate structure is designed to apply the cost of providing water to its customers’ water rates equitably, in accordance to their monthly water use.

Proposition 218

The City of Coachella is currently in the process of considering rate increases for water and sewer services. Learn more about the “Proposition 218” process on the City’s Water and Sewer Rates webpage at Coachella.org/Rates.
